IFC-SG preparation belongs in the model.
Gateway is our investigation into keeping IFC-SG preparation close to the work of authoring a building model. We are interested in how teams establish what a component means, what information it should carry, and how that intent holds through design changes.
Our starting point is a project catalogue: the components a team recognises and the information it expects from them. From there, we explore how software could make differences between intended and authored data easier to review inside Revit, before export.
A proposed correction should remain a proposal until the practitioner accepts it. The aim is to support preparation in the source model, with decisions visible and formal checking left to the submission process.
