Academic-in-Residence

What changes when more people can work with computational design? We would like to explore that with someone who teaches, researches and makes. Bring a question you care about, then work with us on a way to investigate it.

The work

  • Define a focused research or teaching question with the Technical Founder.
  • Develop small design experiments and make the assumptions and evaluation criteria clear.
  • Examine what people understand, change and carry forward when they work with Enjin.
  • Turn findings into examples, methods or teaching material that can be discussed and tested again.
  • Share limitations as carefully as results, and help the team distinguish a convincing demonstration from useful evidence.

What you bring

  • Experience researching or teaching architecture, computational design, engineering or a related field.
  • A habit of making things as part of an investigation, through models, code, prototypes or design studies.
  • A clear way of explaining a method and questioning its results.
  • An interest in working closely with a small product team.

Let’s talk

Tell us about your research or teaching, and one question you would like to explore with Enjin. Links to a paper, studio brief or project are welcome. Include your availability and any institutional requirements we should discuss.
